downstairs<br \/>\nIn the pale morning light<br \/>\nTo stare at the horizon with unseeing eyes<\/p>\n<p>His neighbours worried about him<br \/>\nThose first desperate weeks<br \/>\nHe seemed to dwindle and shrink in his clothes<br \/>\nAnd in the evenings<br \/>\nHe&#8217;d wander the hills by himself<br \/>\nTo return as the morning sun rose<\/p>\n<p>The grass shook and swayed in the meadow<br \/>\nAs he stood in the night<br \/>\nAnd he heard the dry whisper of leaves<br \/>\nAnd the wind was her spirit<br \/>\nRunning free through the grass<br \/>\nWhispering warm in his ear
